Community Development & Engagement

  • Provided Welcome Bags for new residents.

  • Updated the Chamber website.

  • Shared Member events to our exclusive Shop Local Bog 4 Facebook page

  • Collected and organized event dates for the monthly community calendar.

  • Shared the updated calendar on social media monthly

  • Updated the Google calendar monthly

  • Update the digital message board with events weekly

  • Nashua/Plainfield Planters:

    • Coordinated spring/summer planting and maintenance.

    • Organized fall/winter contests (Nashua).

  • Organized a Winter planter decorating contest in Nashua and issued $100 in Chamber Bucks to the winners

  • Supported the city-wide garage sale

  • Provided window clings for chamber business members

  • Sponsored annual Holiday Business Promotion and distributed $450 in Chamber Bucks

Responded to inquiries from 50+ individuals via email and phone, providing timely information and suppo

 

Programs & Partnerships

  • 5-2-1-0 HEAL Participation

    •  Organized and facilitated recruitment of Nashua community members to co-develop and implement the program application with Brenda Vavroch (INRCOG).

    • Secured a 3-year contract (July 2024) and coordinated $24,000 in community-driven project funding to be completed by June 2025.

    • Leveraged $24,000 into $70,000 through strategic partnerships, supporting 10 projects in year one.

      • $12,000 – Nashua Community Foundation: RRFB crossing signals at Merrill & Hwy 346 (pending permitting).

      • $1,650 – Nashua Parks: Pickleball Court.

      • $800 – Nashua-Plainfield Schools: Lifetime Sports PE Class.

      • $8,000 – Nashua-Plainfield Schools: New playground equipment for the ball complex.

      • $800 – Husky Wellness Center: Summer Camps.

      • $800 – Nashua Community Garden.

      • Additional partnerships: Water Stations, Soul Shop Suicide Education Awareness Events.

  • Boy Scout Cabin

    •  Finalized fundraising for the cabin by year-end

  • Nashua-Plainfield Schools

    • Provided cookies and drinks for Baccalaureate.

    • Provided red personalized mailboxes for graduating seniors.

    •  Provided breakfast at a business/education event introducing chamber members to educators.

  • Sponsored the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus.

  • Sponsored the 8th Annual Best Dam Barbecue Contest.
