The Big 4 Chamber is woven into a community that is as rich as its beautiful natural surroundings. The Nashua-Plainfield community is not just unique because of the wonderful businesses, the historic sites, and the recreation opportunities, but in the everyday life of its residents.

Our goal as the Big 4 Chamber is to support your business enthusiastically to ensure that our community remains a place that will thrive for generations to come. This passion continues with the devoted board and chamber members who are quick to welcome all with a warm smile.

Year End Review2022 Big 4 Chamber of Commerce Year End Review

 

·        Held the annual Holiday Promo and distributed $450 in Chamber Bucks

·        Launched our new Chamber website

·        Planned and sponsored the 6th annual Best Dam BBQ featuring Flatland Ridge

·        Assisted the City of Nashua with a successful $100,000 Catalyst Grant for CC & E Properties LLC

·        Ordered New Welcome Bags for New Residents. Bags were donated by Graphic Apparel

·        Completed six Chamber New Business Recognitions – Big Willie’s, Shuttleworth Law, Nashua Clinic’s Stacie Huck, Lady P’s,

         Johnny’s Southern Seafood & Grill, and EZ Dock

·        Served donuts, beverages, and coffee for Water Over the Dam Days June 25

·        Served donuts, beverages, and coffee for Plainfield Days July 9

·        Collected and organized community event dates for the monthly community calendar

·        Designed and distributed monthly updates for the community calendar

·        Utilized the community calendar for the digital sign, google calendar, and social meeting marketing

·        Hosted the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus in Nashua on July 29th for a second time

·        Provided red, personalized mailboxes for graduating NP Seniors on May 17th

·        Spoke to the Seniors, parents, and families during Senior Night

·        Donated to NP school for staff t-shirts

·        Collaborated with the City of Nashua and hosted a Logo Design Contest

·        Provided cookies and drinks for the seniors and their families on Senior Night thanks to S & T Collision and First Bank, Plainfield

·        Hosted a Back-to-School Event on October 19th for the teachers and staff

·        Assisted the Nashua Reporter with the annual Nashua Rummage Sales

·        Organized the approval and made arrangements for the presence of the Goodwill trailer during Nashua Rummage sales  

·        Distributed School Leadership goal posters while distributing Holiday Promotion containers and tickets

·        Made and distributed cookies to Chamber Members for Small Business Week

·        Took 16 calls and several emails regarding Nashua and Plainfield

·        Completed an hour interview and follow-up email regarding Nashua. Also provided information for Plainfield and Clarksville.

·        Looked into various grants for the cities, school, and various organizations

·        Researched and discussed a job fair for the Middle School and High School students with NP staff

·        Discussed hosting business seminar ideas

·        Help Business After Hours at Big Willies

·        Met with the City of Nashua and Brownfield regarding grants and community revitalization

·        Attended the 90th anniversary of the Nashua-Plainfield Lions

·        Attended the Northeast Iowa Community Foundation Gala

·        Completed two phone interviews with 95.1 The Bull. One for the circus and one for the BBQ
